50th Anniversary Celebrations

In 2015 the Electricity Supply Trade Union celebrated our 50th anniversary by hosting a Gala at the Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel. Our guest speaker was Dr. Bernice King, daughter of the late Dr. Martin Luther King.

60th Anniversary Recognition of the BELCO Riots

On February 02 1965, the trade dispute between the Bermuda Industrial Union and BELCO escalated into what is today known as the BELCO Riots. The ESTU, The BIU and  BELCO combined to recognize the event.

The ESTU is a union run by its members. As such, it is a democratic organization dedicated to ensuring its’ membership’s welfare and furthering trade unionism. The ESTU:
